A prairie home colleague

Laurence Miall, a fellow writer-editor at work, recently wrote an article entitled "The Urban Explorer," which was published last month in the Edmonton Journal.

It's the kind of original and thought-provoking piece that makes other writers take notice. For proof, check out this recent post in Thomas Wharton's blog. (By the way, if you've never heard of Wharton, do yourself the favour of reading both of his novels. You won't regret it.)

Tonight I came across this similarly themed article by Garrison Keillor. Coincidence? Keillor doesn't discuss psychogeography as such, but I really wonder whether he saw Laurence's article somewhere and drew some inspiration from it.
