Found out yesterday that I won a $1000 scholarship. Couldn't have come at a better time.

Last Thursday (Nov. 28) was one of those weird coincidence days. I woke up to the CBC Radio news telling me that director Karel Reisz had died. Among the better films Reisz directed is The French Lieutenant's Woman, which was the last film we covered in my English 484 class, and the subject of an essay I wrote Thursday night for that class's final exam.
