Freewheel Baby

Baby got a brand-new toy this week. These things aren't sold in Canada anymore, no doubt thanks to the same sort of people who got lawn darts banned. But my wife was not to be deterred, and it arrived on the doorstep earlier this week from the land of the free and—at least when it comes to baby walkers—the home of the slightly more brave.

In just a few days, she's gone from being able to move only in lurching backward steps to blazing around at surprising speed. The other day, I hopped in the office chair and did three laps around the kitchen island, with babygirl in hot pursuit.
