Deep six

From an article in the July 21, 2009 edition of The Writer's Almanac:
There's a legend that Ernest Hemingway was once challenged to create a six-word story, and he said, "For sale: baby shoes, never worn."

I liked the idea of a six-word story, so I issued the same challenge to my co-workers. Here's what we came up with:

Alien spaceship passes Earth, doesn't stop.

Room to stay with short Americano.

At the end, we began again.

Battling with ogres. Victory is mine!

Couple gets married, couple has kid. (Works the other way too.)

Slowly focusing, I saw my death.

Sundaes for 'sun' days, good times.

The cigarette burns would never heal.
