It seems that the winner of Merriam-Webster's online Word of the Year poll for 2007 is "w00t!"
It's an interjection, in case you were wondering.
My favourite among the other contenders this year is "charlatan." I've always liked the sound of it, and the first definition the M-W dictionary offers for it is "quack," a word I like even better than "charlatan."
